Senior Communications Manager (m/f/x) - Vienna

Based in Vienna, we are the fastest-growing marketplace for refurbished electronics in the German-speaking region. Through our marketplace, completely renewed electronics like phones, laptops, and tablets are sold to consumers.

Founded in February 2017, we grew to more than 100 people in under three years. We have expanded into multiple European countries, including France, Italy, Ireland, and Poland. We have won several awards, completed two large funding rounds, and sold hundreds of thousands of products across Europe.

We consist of over 20 different nationalities; our team has extensive international experience in the refurbishment industry, and we are specialist when it comes to creating a brand and scaling a marketplace.

The People Operations department empowers, supports, and motivates team members in their day-to-day work with the aim to grow within refurbed. The team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Communications Manager (m/f/x).

Together with the team, you find new ways to empower team members and help all teams spread the refurbed spirit across the company.

Together with YOU and your creative ideas, we want to continue building the leading marketplace for refurbished electronics in Europe.

Who you are
  • You studied something with a focus on communication and love the art and science of communication
  • You have some years of experience in PR - either in a cooperation, an agency or self-employment
  • You know how to build a communication strategy 
  • You are passionate about finding new ways to communicate and improve attention to important messages
  • You like teaching others about your field of expertise
  • You are diligent in everything you do
  • You love talking to people and learning new things
  • You are a team-player and work with complete discretion
  • You love topics like radical honesty, radical candor, OKRs
  • You are completely fluent in German and English
  • You think a great speech can change the world and want to spend your time making a difference
What you'll do
  • You will work in the People Operations team (formerly known as HR)
  • You will work on continuously improving the way we communicate important topics within the company - such as new goals, strategies, new projects, success, failures, our values etc.
  • You will work on improving team communication, Founder communication, change communication, etc.
  • You will collaborate closely with our People Development and Happiness Team, our Head of People Operations, and other Leaders within the company
  • You will design and lead workshops on Communication topics
  • You will work closely with the Marketing team and the Employer Branding team - improving messages to the press and candidates
  • Your overall goal is to make key messages available and heard throughout and beyond our organization
